MOON LETTERS : TOOKISH TICKLERS
Top 10 Scenes Not Added to the LOTR: FOTR Platinum Series Extended Edition - WK

10. Saruman's unsuccessful attempts of breeding orcs with other creatures in Middle Earth: orcs crossed with dwarves (too grumpy), orcs crossed with ents (angry shrubbery), orcs crossed with Lothlorien elves (ended up loathing themselves), and orcs crossed with hobbits (undermotivated when it came to warfare and travel).

9. Additional footage for the opening prologue that includes a more detailed history of the ring of power, some general comments on the enmity between the dwarves and elves, a complete retelling of the events in "The Hobbit", the history and analysis of pipeweed within the Shire, the story of Beren and Luthien, a debate between Sauron and Gondor concerning land rights surrounding the Anduin, and most of the content found in the appendices in Return of the King.

8. The Moria dance number

7. Several additional scenes on top of the Orthanc tower where Saruman attempts to woo Gandalf into a union with Sauron: "We'll get you a tower, all the cool wizards have their own tower these days" and "You must join me Obi, err, Gandalf and together we can destroy the Sith, er, those pesky Gondorians"...

6. More of the conversation between Frodo and Gandalf while resting in the Mines of Moria:
Frodo: "I wish the ring had never come to me."
Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
Frodo: "And I wish those rumors of Bilbo's wealth were true."
Gandalf: "Wealth is never the blessing it appears to be."
Frodo: "And I wish I was a little taller, with some ruggedly handsome ranger looks so I could get me an elven wife."
Gandalf: "Now you're being unreasonable."

5. 23 additional verses of the hobbit songs at the Prancing Pony, each accompanied with a round of ale and increased belligerence from Merry and Pippin.

4. Lover's spat between Aragorn and Arwen during their rendezvous in Rivendell:
Arwen: "I give you my immortality."
Aragorn: "You can't."
Arwen: "It is mine to give, and I choose you."
Aragorn: "No really, you can't."
Arwen: "As if you have any better options; you're a ranger, no steady income, often away from home and you smell of athelas.
Aragorn: "But I'm the king, that alone can hook me up with a good woman."
Arwen: "If a good woman is all you want. But you're looking at an Elven princess here, daughter of Elrond and granddaughter of Galadriel. I've got connections. I've got breeding. I've got pointy ears and that cool Enya music plays whenever I'm around. Where you going to get that? Gondor? The Shire? That Rohirrim tart has nothing on me."

3. While Frodo and Sam leave the Shire, the mysterious dust cloud that everyone thinks is a car turns out to be Farmer Cotton starting his chase of Merry and Pippin.

2. Sam and Rosie's first kiss at the annual Took Rave party.

1. Tom Bombadil (which is the missing scene we all miss the most).
