How to Enter

  1. Complete the GB4A Cryptic Crossword puzzle before the contest closes.
  2. Click SUBMIT to send in your final completed Crossword grid. Other forms of the puzzle (HTML and downloadable PDF) are for your convenience to print and work on manually.
  3. Complete the following information with your puzzle:
    1. Full Name
    2. Postal Address
    3. Email Address
  4. Deadline for completed puzzles is midnight EST 30 August 2003 (that means you have all day Friday the 29th to finish). Winners will be announced 5 September 2003!
The Prizes:

Winners of the GB4A Cryptic Crossword Contest will be chosen at random from eligible entries. Three winners will receive:

  • Hardcover LOTR 3-volume edition illustrated by Alan Lee from Houghton Mifflin Publishers
  • Frodo statue from Sideshow/WETA Collectibles
  • Special T-shirt collection from TheOneRing.net

Winners Announced: 09/05/03

Official Rules:

  1. No member of TheOneRing.net or their immediate families may enter.
  2. All entries must include entrant's full name, postal address, valid email address and a correct, completed crossword puzzle.
  3. Send your entry using the official contest page at http://greenbooks.theonering.net/crossword/. Only entries sent through the active interface will be accepted. No email or snail mail paper entries will be considered.
  4. All entries must be received by midnight EST 30 August 2003 (Friday night going into Saturday morning).
  5. Entries will be considered based on one critera: the puzzle must be accurately completed. Eligible entries will be placed in a "winner's pool," from which three winners will be chosen at random and announced on TheOneRing.net.
  6. All people submitting puzzles give permission to TheOneRing.net to post their name and answers on the website to use for publicity reasons.
  7. As always, don't forget to read the real small fine print at the bottom of the main contest page.
