MOON LETTERS : POETRY
A Shieldmaiden's Despair - By Allison Michelle
The walls close in
Locking my cage
I'm utterly
Alone
Whispers to the dark
Bitter words
Filled with
Despair
I cry to the night;
Night so unfeeling
Longing to be
Released
The night deepens
Turning the key
Keeping me
Caged
The dawn may come,
Yet in it no hope.
Day will pass
Quickly
Bringing once again
The blackness
The starless
Night
There is no release
From my fate
Nothing but
Death
