MOON LETTERS : POETRY
The Ranger - by Aydria Elenlinn

In the silent hour before dawn,
I stand with upturned eyes -
Staring at the fading stars
My heart filled full of sighs.

I long each night for Evenstar,
The idol of my bliss.
Dreaming of her shining eyes,
Her soft and gentle kiss

But ah! These thoughts too sacred are
To waste on beam of day.
By night alone I think of her,
And silently I pray:

Eru, grant me strength and speed,
And courage for all trials.
Direction to my pathless feet
Which wander countless miles

The day begins and I must go -
My task has just begun.
Until the night returns again,
I face the rising sun.
