MOON LETTERS : POETRY
Strider’s Song- Jill of All Trades

Cloaked in midnight colors, he is of the shadows
Mystery shines in his eyes.

Black on black, roguish looks,
He moves with Elfish grace.

The sword is unsheathed…
Commence the dance of battle
How his hair lashes sensually about his face,
Mimicking his movements,
Arcing black and curling,
Wild, untamed, much like his own spirit
Despite its curse.

From the darkness that enshrouds him
A star rises
The star he fights for, entwined with his soul,
Undómiel, the Evenstar.

He bears her symbol at his throat–
Crystalline;
She cut short all her long years,
To remain by his side for but a breath of time.

…Once enigmatic, now no more
The truth peers through from those blue eyes
To be hidden nevermore.
