MOON LETTERS : POETRY
The Forsaken - by Varda Elentari

I am the forsaken.
I walk now alone.
Would that a Man’s doom
Had not been thine own!
But alas! So we came
To the end of our road,
And I gather the fruit
Of the seed I have sown.

Whither hast thou gone,
O true love of mine?
I see thy fair face
In the bright stars that shine
As in days of old
From the heavens above,
And I oft wonder when
In a world far beyond
I shall see thee again.
For my heart groweth cold,
And I long for thy love.

I wander in darkness
And shadow unknown.
I am the forsaken.
I walk now alone.
